On family land located west of Laval, in the Sainte Dorothée district, La Cédrière Barbe has been growing white cedar, also known as western cedar or Canadian cedar, since 1991. Over time, several other varieties of cedars were added to meet the growing demand from the ornamental horticulture industry. Today, more than 150,000 trees share 43 acres, on either side of Montée Champagne, on the magnificent Flower Route.

White or black cedars, fastigiated or pyramidal, the choice is there. Quality too! For many decades, La Cédrière Barbe has made it a point of pride to offer its customers the most beautiful specimens, from a sustainable and eco-responsible agriculture.  Over the years, the optimization of equipment and production techniques has allowed the company to distinguish itself within the industry.

We have cedars from 3 to 8 feet high, depending on your needs and your budget. For environmental reasons and to facilitate handling, our cedars are sold mainly in sturdy pots with handles that we deposit. You can also purchase jute cedars and spit baskets to order.

La Cédrière Barbe is a member of an agri-environmental round table in the city of Laval, and generously offers visits and workshops to training centers working in the field. Its team is made up of experienced horticulturists, and frequently collaborates with agronomists in order to offer its customers personalized service and high-quality products.
